I'm using the 18" HX2 basket I bought from farraez1, an RE SE motor(getting shipped today), dual 2 ohm 3" al v/c's w/stitched tensil wires on 8" spiders. My question is would it be okay to use either JB weld or liquid steel to glue the spiders to the frame?

the best thing to do is use ca glue. idk if jb wled or liquid steel would work. You can find lower grade ca glue at hobby lobby. not quite as thick or strong as the stuff used on subs but on a 500w or so sub it will be fine
bought some ca glue from fixmyspeaker to do the recones on my power dvc 15's, they look and sound great..i'm not sure what i'm gonna do with this 18 though..i have an RE SE motor on it now, i have everything i need to do the build but i want to use a bigger motor like a power hx2 or TRF motor or equiv but money is a little tight so i'm gonna have to wait..i have a dual 3 ohm coil i'm gonna use on the build though
